Krys Copeland

In the eclectic world of spiritual literature, it's not every day that a Pagan Atheist reviews a Christian book. Yet, here I am, sharing my insights on Away and Back: Lessons from Jonah by King’ori Mbuthia with my Pagan World community. As a friend and a colleague at Speak Your Own Book, King’ori stands out as a writer of moral and ethical integrity, offering a fresh perspective in Christian literature. Since many in our community read a diverse range of spiritual books, and since we have several Christo-Pagans in the community, this particular book seems very appropriate for a Pagan World discussion.

King’ori's book delves into the Biblical story of Jonah, weaving a narrative that explores the trials of finding one's spiritual path, coping with guilt, and seeking redemption. He eloquently states, "You can indeed, as Jonah found out, look to His holy temple again and be restored to the joy of salvation.". This idea of returning to a place of spiritual peace resonates with my belief in connecting with the Universe.

Throughout the book, King’ori emphasizes prayer, solitude, and community. To me, these practices are universal in nature, transcending the Christian context and aligning with the broader spiritual language of inner peace and contentment.

King'ori and I don't see eye to eye on everything spiritual, as no two human beings do. One particular sticking point that stands out is his framing of Paul, referred to by King’ori as a "model Christian." This characterization initially struck me as contentious, considering Paul's history of persecuting Christians. However, King’ori's depiction of Paul is not about glorifying his past but rather highlighting the profound change he undergoes.

Paul's story is emblematic of redemption and the capacity for profound transformation. After his revelatory encounter on the road to Damascus, Paul becomes acutely aware of the gravity of his past actions. Unlike Jonah, who initially runs away from his divine calling, Paul faces his history head-on. He dedicates his life to atoning for his sins, fully embracing the teachings of Christ and working tirelessly for the Christian community. This journey from a persecutor to a proponent of the faith exemplifies what King’ori views as the essence of a "model Christian" – someone who not only recognizes their misdeeds but actively works to rectify them and contribute positively to their community.

This contrast between Paul and Jonah throughout the book offers a nuanced exploration of redemption. While Jonah's story is about avoiding and eventually accepting responsibility, Paul's narrative is about confronting one's past and actively seeking to make amends, as aggressively as he had committed those sins of his early life. King’ori uses these stories to demonstrate that redemption and transformation are available paths, regardless of one's history.

King’ori's discourse on "sin" and its consequences is thought-provoking. As a Pagan Atheist, I don't believe in "sin", but simply "harm". However, this is merely semantics, and very quickly into the book, it is clear that King'ori has a similar definition of sin. He criticizes the superficial understanding of forgiveness and repentance prevalent among some Christians, likening their prideful attitudes to Jonah's nationalistic pride and lack of compassion. This critique echoes the experiences of many of us in the Pagan community who have faced hypocrisy in the name of religion.

King’ori offers guidance through various life stages, providing advice rooted in Christian values that also align with humanistic, ethical principles. His insights into youth, adulthood, and the continual journey of self-discovery are filled with universal values like patience, generosity, and love. He underscores the importance of facing the consequences of one's actions, a principle that reverberates across belief systems.

Throughout the book, I find myself thinking over and over again with each of King'ori's insights and revelations, oh, how closely his experience of the Divine resembles my own interactions with the Universal energy that encompasses everything! Perhaps, though we call our paths by different names, we are honoring the same power and heading to the same source? I encourage you, Dear Reader, if you choose to purchase his book on Amazon, available at the very affordable price of $2.99, to decide the answer to that question for yourself. When you purchase this book, you can know that not only will you receive an engaging and enlightening glimpse into the true Christian's path, the one that is filled with lovingkindness and peace, but you will also be supporting a Kenyan writer, an author of color, and a kind and generous man, part of my SYOB family, and someone I consider a dear friend.

In summary, Away and Back transcends its Christian framework, offering guidance on ethical living, reflecting on human fallibility, and advocating for spiritual growth. King’ori's writing bridges the gap between Christian teachings and universal human experiences, making it a meaningful read for Christians, Christopagans, and, yes, even Pagan Atheists like myself. This book will particularly appeal to those seeking reconciliation with their past — especially if their past involves a negative church experience growing up—and embracing a future filled with spiritual fulfillment.

Along with wealth and violence, the ability to think and act on information gives strength. To learn skills, to know of seed and plant, to speak of the laws of nature, and the emerging universe that bends to will and magick. This we must learn, teach, and build upon. Those who control education rule the over culture.

Rule 3. Educate Everyone: A free people control their education, how they learn, what they learn, and the methods used to provide knowledge and training. We, in 2024 and forevermore, need to take over our education systems, focused on providing cradle to grave learning opportunities. We can provide and protect all that is worth knowing, beginning a process of learning, unlearning, and learning again.

For my personal actions Witch College is the beginning of that long term education. Support for all education must be developed. No one person, no one team, can do it all. So we need to look for local to global opportunities to teach and to prepare for a future past the current crises of a changing environment and dangerous politics.

While we honor the warrior, respect the priest and priestess, but the true hero will be the teacher, the educator, the hand that leads the next generation to understanding. Without teachers we are lost, with them we have a incredible future. Educate everyone is the path towards a world of peace, a world of abundance. A world where we can speak our hearts and our thoughts, a place where we will offer something precious, a mind worth having.

Blessings
Ed

Five Steps of Pagan Survivalhttps://pagan.world/blog/five-steps-of-pagan-survival2023-12-22T06:26:04.000Z2023-12-22T06:26:04.000ZEd Hubbardhttps://pagan.world/members/EdHubbard

Everything I have learned about Pagans, the culture and community, is that they are neither unified nor even have many common traits. What they do have is the desire to remain free and independent in their thoughts. As individuals and groups they are very passionate and protective of how they perceive the world. The only commonality at the end is that the recognize the need to continue, to survive. It is with that thought that I have consolidated my thinking to these five steps.

1. Connect Pagans
2. Legalize Churches
3. Educate everyone
4. Meet Needs
5. Use Magick

When we can master this steps we will move towards survival in prosperity an in crisis. Build towards the good, stand against the harmful. Sounds simple and truly it is. We merely have to find our purpose individually and share collective goals.

For myself, these rules of survival take on a crucial importance:

1. Connect Pagans: The goal of Pagan,World is to connect 1 million Pagans together in 2024. Utilizing communication systems, we will be able to communicate and create exchanges on a one-to-one basis, one-to-many, and every spectrum in between. Pagan.World represents the seeds of that next level of a connected community.

2. Legalize Churches: Assure the development of religious organizations in a legal capacity with right protecting bylaws and articles of faith. In 2024, the goal is to develop 1,000 Pagan Churches in the United States to provide a bulwark to protect our constitutional rights.

3. Educate Everyone: A free people control their education, how they learn, what they learn, and the methods used to provide knowledge and training. We, in 2024 and forevermore, need on taking over our education systems , focused on providing cradle to grave learning opportunities. We can provide and protect all that is worth knowing, beginning a process of learning, unlearning, and learning again. Witch College is the beginning of that long term education.

4. Meet Needs: The Goddess has no need for hunger and lack. In 2024, continuing cultivate food sources that are able to protect us, and with tools needed to live a quality life. Seeb Banks and permaculture, food storage and all manner of knowledge will need to be exercised over the long term.

5. Use Magick: To grow and use magick, expanding on the idea of applied magic. With technology emerging which appears to conform to the concept of magick combined with knowledge that pours from our ancient most part of ourselves. We can ignite a deeply magickal world, we can literally create the next reality control. Our will manifested.
Together, these rules can be applied as you choose them, for yourself, your community, and even how you will govern yourself. For me, the first set of goals emerging from them for me is truly big, magnificent, and what will be needed to survive as a culture, a group, and a people,

Blessings,
Ed

In 57 days, Witch College Library Openshttps://pagan.world/blog/in-57-days-witch-college-library-opens2023-11-15T05:06:32.000Z2023-11-15T05:06:32.000ZEd Hubbardhttps://pagan.world/members/EdHubbard

In the continueing movement, today we will discuss the Witch College Library.

At the core of any culture is their library, access to knowledge. The longest lasting and most crucial point of cultural rejuvenation.
Libraries endure, the are the seeds in which each generation grows.

On January 11th, 2024, Witch College will open the doors to its library, which begins as virtual, and in 2024 will be a decentralized system, of lending and research libraries. Once the Library opens, the Order of the Library will begin in earnest the preservation of all knowledge needed for our future generations. This will not only be our collection but a nexus into the emerging global libraries. We will have the world’s knowledge at our finger tips. The Akashic Records made real.

During our Kickstarter campaign, we offered a library card, for $10. We are seeing this as a simple and basic way to fund this library, but in truth, will be a public resource. Under the Witch College Library system, we will be able to create lending libraries across the world. With the Order of the Library, we will see the formation of both physical as well as virtual libraries.

During our first year, 2024, the Library will be focused on curating and the distribution of all manner of materials. Included will be a collection of over 15,000 hours of video and audio materials generated by over 25 years of interviews across many mediums. Once we begin, we will be able to add material as students and volunteers help us prepare and upload. This will allow for all manner of access to historians, archivist, and researchers to raw source materials.

Last but not least, we will be able to help preserve and protect knowledge of our community, across many libraries in many cities. We will be able through peer-to-peer architecture, to do deep memory storage. We must assure that we can extend ourselves to our descendants, to be good ancestors.

More to come,
Blessings
Ed

In 60 days, A Vision of Community College, Promisedhttps://pagan.world/blog/in-60-days-a-vision-of-community-college-promised2023-11-12T04:12:37.000Z2023-11-12T04:12:37.000ZEd Hubbardhttps://pagan.world/members/EdHubbard

by Ed Hubbard 11/11/2023 (PWP)

I want to thank everyone for their energies through the years, helping, creating, developing the magnificent vision of a expanding growing healthy community.
II. Woven Wisdom: Unraveling the Definition and Principles of Atheist Paganism

Atheist Paganism encompasses a diverse range of beliefs and practices that blend elements of Pagan spirituality with an absence of belief in deities. At its core, it recognizes the interconnectedness of all living beings and the inherent sacredness of the natural world. Atheist Pagans draw inspiration from nature, seeking wisdom and guidance from its rhythms and cycles. We view spirituality as a deeply personal and individualistic experience, exploring their connection to the divine through rituals, meditation, and introspection. While we may not hold traditional religious concepts of gods and goddesses, they find solace, purpose, and a sense of wonder in the marvels of the natural world.

One of the defining features of Atheist Paganism is its exploration of spirituality outside the framework of traditional deities. Atheist Pagans may reject the notion of supernatural beings while embracing the belief in a sacred and interconnected universe. We may also believe in magical practices but see them simply as not-yet-understood natural processes. We seek to cultivate a deep sense of reverence and awe for the mysteries of existence, finding spiritual fulfillment in the beauty, harmony, and balance found in nature. Through practices such as meditation, energy work, and the observation of natural cycles, Atheist Pagans tap into the spiritual currents that flow through the world, connecting with the numinous in their own unique way.

Atheist Paganism encompasses a wide range of paths and practices that allow us to express our spirituality without the belief in deities. Some Atheist Pagans draw inspiration from ancient traditions, such as Celtic or Norse, adapting them to align with their non-theistic worldview. Others may follow a more eclectic approach, blending elements from different Pagan paths or integrating practices from other spiritual traditions. Rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations are an integral part of Atheist Paganism, providing opportunities for personal connection, reflection, and communal engagement. While the specific practices and rituals may vary among individuals, the underlying principles of reverence for nature, connection to the sacred, and personal growth remain central to Atheist Pagan spirituality.

By understanding the definition, exploring the concept of spirituality without a belief in deities, and discussing the various paths and practices within Atheist Paganism, we gain a deeper appreciation for this unique spiritual path and the diverse ways in which individuals connect with the sacred without the traditional framework of gods and goddesses.

III. The Interwoven World: Exploring the Fabric of Connection through Nature in Pagan Atheism

In Atheist Paganism, our connection with nature and the natural world holds profound significance. We embrace a nature-centered spirituality that recognizes the inherent sacredness of the Earth and all its beings. Nature is not merely a backdrop, but an active participant in our spiritual journey. We find solace, inspiration, and wisdom in the cycles of the seasons, the rhythms of the natural world, and the intricate web of life that surrounds us.

Through rituals, practices, and celebrations, we cultivate a deep sense of connection and reverence for nature. Our rituals may involve outdoor ceremonies, where we gather under the open sky or among the trees, immersing ourselves in the beauty and energy of the natural environment. We honor the changing seasons, paying homage to the cycles of life, death, and rebirth that mirror our own experiences.

Nature is our temple, and we seek to harmonize with its rhythms. We engage in practices that allow us to attune to the Earth's energy, such as meditation in natural settings, walking barefoot on the earth, or simply spending time in quiet contemplation amidst the sounds of the natural world. We listen to the whispers of the wind, the song of the birds, and the murmurs of flowing water, finding guidance and inspiration in these elemental voices.

Environmentalism is also deeply woven into the fabric of Atheist Paganism. We recognize the urgent need to protect and preserve the Earth, our home. As stewards of the natural world, we strive to live in harmony with nature, promoting sustainability, conservation, and eco-friendly practices. We advocate for environmental justice, standing up against the exploitation and destruction of the Earth and its resources.

In our daily lives, we seek to embody our reverence for nature and the natural world. We strive to live in balance and harmony with the Earth, mindful of our consumption, and mindful of the impact our actions have on the environment. Through our connection with nature, we find solace, inspiration, and a deep sense of belonging. It is through this connection that we tap into the profound wisdom and guidance that the natural world offers.

As Atheist Pagans, our spiritual path is intricately intertwined with our connection to nature. We recognize the interconnectedness of all life and our place within the larger tapestry of existence. By honoring and nurturing our bond with the natural world, we cultivate a profound sense of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.

IV. Threads of Compassion and Personal Responsibility: Weaving Core Values in Atheist Paganism

Within Atheist Paganism, ethics and values play a central role in guiding the beliefs and actions of its practitioners. Although Atheist Paganism encompasses a diverse range of paths and practices, there are common threads that weave together the ethical foundations and moral frameworks within this spiritual path.

At the heart of Atheist Pagan ethics is the recognition of personal responsibility. Atheist Pagans understand that they have the power to shape their own lives and contribute to the well-being of the world around them. They embrace the idea that their actions have consequences and strive to make choices that align with their values. Personal responsibility extends beyond the individual and encompasses a sense of responsibility towards the Earth and all living beings.

Compassion is another core value within Atheist Paganism. Atheist Pagans recognize the interconnectedness of all things and hold deep empathy for the experiences of others. They prioritize kindness, empathy, and understanding in their interactions with fellow humans, animals, and the natural world. Compassion is seen as a transformative force that nurtures harmony, healing, and growth within the Pagan community and beyond.

Respect is also integral to the ethical framework of Atheist Paganism. Atheist Pagans hold deep reverence for the diversity of life and the sacredness of the natural world. They acknowledge the inherent worth and dignity of every individual and honor the unique perspectives and experiences of others. Respect manifests in their relationships, interactions, and engagement with the world, fostering a sense of harmony and mutual respect within the Pagan community.

In their everyday lives, Atheist Pagans seek to embody their values and live in alignment with their ethical principles. They strive to integrate their spirituality into all aspects of their lives, from their relationships and work to their environmental stewardship and community engagement. Atheist Pagans understand that living ethically is an ongoing process of self-reflection, growth, and learning, and they are committed to continuously evolving their understanding of what it means to live in accordance with their values.

V. Weaving Networks: Building Supportive Communities in Pagan Atheism

In Atheist Paganism, community and connection play vital roles in nurturing and supporting spiritual growth. Building meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals who share similar beliefs and values can provide a sense of belonging and validation. It offers opportunities for learning, sharing experiences, and finding support on the spiritual path. Community gatherings, rituals, and events, including scientifically-minded think tanks, seminars, lectures, and discussions, create spaces where Atheist Pagans can come together to celebrate, learn, and deepen their connections with one another and the natural world. These gatherings foster a sense of camaraderie and solidarity, promoting a sense of unity and shared purpose. In Atheist Pagan communities, inclusivity and diversity are highly valued, recognizing that different perspectives and experiences enrich the tapestry of our collective journey. By fostering a welcoming and supportive environment, Atheist Pagans create spaces where individuals can feel seen, heard, and respected, regardless of their background or identity. Through building community and connection, Atheist Pagans cultivate a sense of shared purpose and work towards creating a world that aligns with their values of compassion, respect, and environmental stewardship.

VI. Interlacing Paths: Weaving Meaning and Spirituality in Atheist Paganism

Our journey as Atheist Pagans is similar to that of other Pagan paths -- a tapestry of personal growth, woven with threads of exploration, self-discovery, and transformation. As we embrace the absence of deities, we delve deeper into the realms of meaning and spirituality, weaving our own unique path. It is a journey that invites us to reflect on the interconnectedness of all things, to seek wisdom and inspiration from nature, and to uncover the sacredness in the everyday. Through rituals, practices, and contemplation, we engage in a process of continuous growth, weaving together the threads of our experiences to create a rich tapestry of understanding and connection. This journey is not one of reaching a final destination, but rather an ongoing exploration that invites us to be present, to learn, and to evolve. It is a tapestry of self-discovery, where we embrace the mysteries of life and embrace the beauty of the interconnected web of existence. As Atheist Pagans, we find solace, inspiration, and profound meaning in the weaving of our own spiritual tapestry, crafting a narrative that speaks to our authentic selves. We invite you to join us in this journey, to explore the vast possibilities that lie within the interwoven threads of Atheist Paganism.

VII. The Final Stitch: Reflecting on the Key Fibers of Pagan Atheism

As we approach the culmination of our exploration into Pagan Atheism, it is time to pause and reflect on the intricate threads that have been woven throughout our journey. From the interlacing of nature-centered spirituality to the embracing of personal responsibility and compassion, Pagan Atheism has revealed itself as a tapestry of beliefs and values that resonates deeply with those who walk this path.

In this final stitch, let us recapitulate the key fibers that have shaped our understanding of Pagan Atheism. We have unraveled the concept of spirituality without deities, finding solace and inspiration in the natural world that surrounds us. We have examined the ethical foundations that guide our actions, emphasizing personal responsibility, compassion, and respect. We have celebrated the diverse paths and practices that exist within the vibrant fabric of Pagan Atheism, each thread contributing its unique hue to the tapestry of our shared experience.

As we conclude this exploration, I invite you, dear readers, to carry the spirit of Pagan Atheism -- and our vibrant and diverse tapestry of Paganism -- forward. Let the lessons learned and the connections made be the warp and weft of your personal journey. Keep weaving your own story, interlacing your beliefs and values with the vibrant threads of Pagan Atheism. Find kinship in the supportive communities that exist and continue to engage with the rich tapestry of knowledge and wisdom that this path offers.

May this final stitch be a reminder that Pagan Atheism is a living tapestry, ever-evolving and growing with each individual who walks this path. As you continue your own unique exploration, may you find inspiration, meaning, and a deep sense of connection to the world around you. Let the key fibers of Pagan Atheism guide you in shaping a life filled with purpose, compassion, and reverence for the interconnectedness of all things.

I was proclaimed a Fluffy Bunny™ and my Tradition was the same. I believe it was supposed to stop me in my tracks, to insult me, and bring me to public shame. The expectation I am to feel, is to withdraw and be delegitimized before these who feel energy and might. They call me personally and my Tradition a Fluffy Bunny™. In that moment, the thrower of words, expects me to stand aside, while they are the true warrior. I do stand aside because I am always interested in these displays of power. They are common and aggressive.

When we hear Fluffy Bunny ™ what is it you conjure? As a Correllian I often hear the term Fluffy Bunny™. It really meant as a derogatory slur, which I have learned. It’s taken time, and lots of shadow work, I take it as a deep compliment. After all the slur is meant to say, that the Correllians, are “naïve, soft, weak, and without power.” It further states they follow a path as a practitioner of love and light, but no real substance. After all, if you are not wolves and warriors, are you even really serious? I get it, we live in a dog eat dog world, and my Tradition is much closer to a warm puppy pile than a pack of hungry hunters. It’s true, we would rather love than hunt. It’s our nature to love our family, above all other things. Our dedication of the Great Family allows us to embrace love over fear.

So the madness is, the Hard Core Pagan Badass™ often spits at us, because we don’t accept the harsh reality. That our world view is horribly naïve and even dangerous. They want to proclaim we are going to be victimized, include by them. Let us understand Fluffy Bunny™ is not just an insult but often an open threat. The Pagan Badass™ want you to know they want you to back off and not question them.

Instead as rabbits, we offer hope, we offer love, and we offer acceptance above all other things. You can trust that we are telling the truth, our truth the best ways we can. We offer it with joy, with understanding, and we seek to be kind. We are the Fluffy Bunny™ that does not want to scare you, to frighten you, or to bring you anything but comfort and joy. If these are not traits of a witch to you, then so be it. Call us what we are, Fluffy Bunny™ Tradition, which accepts everyone and loves them all the same. What a wonderful legacy.

In this attempted slur upon us in open mockery is that there are so many of us. That too is a Fluffy Bunny™ trait. We multiply because we are gentle, joyful, and fun. So you attack us as wolves, bears, hawks, and eagles. You may stand for your strength, but we stand as the people who bring support. The Correllian Tradition is the best help you can get, and we help far more people than those who object to us, because of our cheerful and trusting manner. Yet at the end of it all, our people do well, survive so many strife’s, and in the end expand the Great Family, multiplying well like rabbits. After all, do you want in a family of love, or a family of anger? Correllians are the Fluffy Bunnies™ who care deeply for our own, and our community we share. No fangs, no barking, no sneering, we leave this to others. We live in love, not fear.

When they cry out, Ed, are you too a Rabbit?. I say proudly I am. In Chinese Astrology I am a Water Rabbit, born in ‘63, and stand guard over my community. Threaten us and we are the rabbits which the medievalist scribes feared. We are the rabbit that a generation of Mighty Python fans offered. “That Rabbit is a killer.” As a good friend of mine has recently said, ‘We are bunnies with blood red teeth.”

So remember, we are happily your Fluffy Bunny™, to serve, to provide, to love, and to care. We are as you have said we are, and we are honored in this. We hold no desire to be anything else. We accept and even cherish that we are the Fluffy Bunny ™. We can and will protect our own. So you decide, are you good with us, and can you accept our desire for peace, love, and respect. Can we exist in your world?

We have television, newspapers, radio, and now the internet as just some of the forms of mass communication know as "The Media". So much of our lives is into the media that we have seen this emerge as the most competitive force in the planet. It has become quite literally a battleground, were minds are won and lost, and to the winner great spoils and to the losers infamy and disgrace.

So what is a Media War. It is a conflict where words, images, and concepts are put before the public and they decided which thoughts will be allowed. The public chooses by what they choose to focus on, either by watching a particular television station or show at any given time, any radio show, any book that is read, every time a newspaper is read, a choice to what concepts will be allowed to come to the forefront, to our attention. Getting your attention is the opening and most important opening volley of this competition.

Now that your attention is gained, they present information and ask you to make choices, and once you make a choice you transfer a tiny bit of power. You take part in a collective action that benefits the those who you give your attention to and they get you to take an action on their behalf. It comes in many forms including these few examples; spending money, buying tickets, voting for a candidate, talking about their product, getting laws passed, talk about peace, agree to declare war, agree to executions and jailing of law breakers, fighting against executions, to accept taxes and fees, pay subscriptions to magazines, cable stations, and internet services. The list of actions are endless but they represent you taking action at some level. This is the prize of the Media War, all of us individually taking action in a collective way they choose. They gain control of our lives at some level with our permission.

In this case we are dealing with one group inciting action to declare another an enemy. The antagonist seeks out images, words, and choices that have people allow and get them to act against another group. The ultimate expression is a declaration of violence and all laws are disbanded except kill the enemy. But in most modern society is to get governments and people in authority to make the behavior and ideas of the enemy invisible and illegal. This occurs through the Media in democratic societies to force law makers, administrator, and more importantly the law enforcement agencies to act against their enemies. The ultimate goal is have no one want to be the enemy and everyone wants to be a good citizen.

How do they do it? What are the weapons they use, the mind tools to get you to take action or give others permission to act in your name, on your behalf collectively. Which ways is your mind affected to make the choices you make when thinking of a chosen enemy. Here are the six mind-tools used by propagandists, political consultants, and governmental officials use to incite the public. These are the tools of the Media War.

Mind-tool One is Atrocity Allegations. In it's most common form, it is the accusation of ritual murder, infanticide, rape, sexual depravity, mass murder and so on. This can go deeper, with unfounded and untrue statements as well as true statements of small numbers of people, left to fester. Remember, a Atrocity accusation can even be as simple as the wear black because they are afraid of the light, as long as it isolates the community member.

Mind-tool Two is Hyperbolic Inflation of the Stakes. This recently took form in Bosnia when NATO stated if we do not stop Serbia we will have another Hitler, and fight a larger war. For us, If children are allowed to wear Pentagrams soon all our children will be. Further, If children are allowed to practice Wicca then they will become involved with *Put you own derogatory here*.

These first two mind-tools create a powerful argument, no matter how true or false. Simply put, atrocity and Hyperbolic inflation assures that even if you are not sure it is true, you don't dare defend them in case it is true, and you certainly don't become involved.

The Third mind-tool is Demonization and Dehumanization. In every conflict, the enemy must not have a human face. Broad brushes are used to slander and deprive human feelings for the attacked, otherwise one would have to consider them as individuals. For Wiccans it was Satan Worship, but lately it is that Wiccans are nudists trying to convert are children, which is used as a slander and force law officials to act.

The fourth is Polarization, "Those not for us are against Us." Simple and is the basis for all manner of fights. This is school ground politics that we continue to the day all our lives.

The Fifth is the Claim of Divine Sanction, which frames all arguments, out of the human context and instead places it on God, Allah, or some other authority in charge of the action. Further the power to forgive for any excess of zeal is gained. This assures no matter how much one would feel the action is wrong, the person committing it is secure because God told them to do it.

The Sixth mind-tool is Meta-propaganda, and the most powerful. This discredits the other sides propaganda not by challenging the veracity of a single story, but by repeating holes and mistakes on the whole argument and discredit everything coming from the enemy. The aim is to produce wholesale disbelief and close doors to redress.

Being aware of the tools being used by those who would incite violence to get you to agree with them. Your choices are so important, so choose wisely and thank you for choosing to read this article. Your attention to this issue is appreciated and keep yourself free.

Is this the Golden Age of Witchcraft?https://pagan.world/blog/the-golden-age-of-witchcraft-is-today2022-01-09T01:18:24.000Z2022-01-09T01:18:24.000ZEd Hubbardhttps://pagan.world/members/EdHubbard

Gaining Perspective of our World today!

Today we are going to explore what kind of Witch you want to be?

That is a wonderful, beautiful, and miraculous question. Until recent history the our choices would be few, no matter the age we speak of. We have a few times of advanced cultural thinking, maybe a few thousand books created by hand. Sometimes it could be much greater earned over time. Yet all those libraries have been lost and swept away in the coming of time. We have few remains and remnants of these glorious ages and libraries. Today, there are the librarians with their understanding of these libraries, that they from time to time, mourn and grieve their loss. The loss is never to be able to read them.

Learning Witchcraft has been hard and difficult to come by, for most of history, up to the years 1997-2001. This was absolutely pivotal time, when the Pagan community would grow faster and quicker due to increased communication. Witchvox, Witch School, Cherry Hill Seminary, AOL Tea Room, Avatar Search, and countless others took the power of the World Wide Web, and created an online version of Pagan life. This has developed a community with improved communication, exchanging resources and creating events through cooperative actions. Today, Witchcraft online, all forms of Paganism online has been normalized. This took 20 years, and most of those projects didn’t make it, but became the foundation of today.

Today, I believe that we are seeing an equally transformation period. 93-01 was the Dawn of Paganism online. Now its early morning, the sun has barely risen, and we can see the space we live in. In this light we see the world giving us everything we could ask for to learn and to seek knowledge.

1, Pagan Books, we have as many books and titles in existence today, then at all points of history prior to 2010. We have titles being published at nearly one a day, through traditional publishers, Assisted Publishing, and Individualized Publishing. So never before in human history have so many books been available to so many people without limits. This is a moment history of Witches, Magicians, Shamans and all practitioners of magic and arts, could only dream of. All of it is now available to use. Our ancestors would call this a Golden Age.

2. Witch Craft tools and supplies have never been in higher quantity and quality then here today. We have never has so many herbs, plants, crystals, incense, candles and nearly every other item we use be available. Through hand creation for self, or creation by a craftsman, even products created by machine for our use. In this day and age, it’s available at levels unmatched in human history, with delivery not unlike the wings of Apollo. Our ancestors would simple be overwhelmed by our collections.

3. Witches and Pagans have greater communication tools than any human prior to 2019 had. This shift has created deeper and powerful forms of communication across the Internet.
