Lesson 18 of 365: A Witches Whisper

 Lesson 18 of 365: A Witches Whisper

During this year, we are exploring and discovering the inner Witch, the magical entity within each of us. We have discussed will, imagination and our natural inclination of moving energy. It is within the craft that we learn to create paths within the mind and the society to function.

Today, I will deal with the really interesting form of power, The Voice, which has been at the core. For those who can speak, sing, chant and undulate sound are very fortunate. The sound of our voices, the pitches we create, the unique energy.  So let us talk about the nature of creating sounds as mysterious aspects.  The one I will deal with today is the mysterious whisper. It is rarely used, but represent a strong essence of magic and mystery.

So the Whisper is a low-sound, which can be shared with one or very few people. It’s a sound that can be only heard when directed, it’s used to gain attention in an environment. When a speaker whispers the room grows quiet. It makes the speaker message seem more valuable and one that they will not give if forced into competing with the noise. Whispering in this cases, allows the message to be more intimate, and give it value, when all you hear is noise.

Whispering can be intimate and mysterious. Whispering into another’s ear sets in the mind, by an ancient mechanism in our brains, which gives it greater significance. The mind absorbs it as private and very personal. The second mechanism, is that outside individuals see it as important, creating a sense of desire, even jealousy. How often have you seen this, where whispering people can create a stir? Just the act of Whispering has power.

Whispering can be used with spirits as well. It’s the energy, vibration and intent, that gives it power. Spirits can hear whispers, well honed, better than chants and other mean. After all, they too whisper, and only those who listen can hear them. By whispering to spirits, you also let them know you can hear them.

One skill of the ancients was to be able to project their voice, like a ventriloquist, and create the sound anywhere they choose. This can be used and was used, to communicate in crowds, and even between people without others recognizing the communication. This allowed for communication even in dire circumstances. In all cases the nature of the whisper is a powerful mechanism.

The key to a good whisper is to match a tone that can be heard, sharp enunciation, and to give it air without volume. It is the vibration against the ear drum and the skin itself that makes it work. Use it well.

Today’s assignment: When not be listened to, try to whisper and see the effects. Second, whisper something to a loved one, close to their ear, and see their reaction.
