As one knows of Witches, it is spoken of their jinx, hex or curses as part of the legacy. Do not upset a Witch yet she casts a spell upon you. This is used as a major aspect of a Witches Power and that has truth. Equally as powerful and was more sought out was a Witches blessing.  This was equally within the practitioners power and was long desired in protecting children, loved ones and yes even entire tribes and towns.  It was often done as offering to the gods, to the spirits, to nature.

For a Witch to give a blessing, they must accept themselves, a task which they will spend most of their time on, all during their lives. Once you accept your worthy of being such a channel, you allow the energy of love to flow. This can be then directed at the recipient, by the touch of hand, by a kiss on the cheek, a hug, or without contact in the form of a ball of light sent in their direction.  This love can be laced with thoughts of desired outcome, a form of wishing and spiritual programming. Ex. May your marriage be blessed or may your child’s singing voice ring out.  Project the love, and the desired blessing.

May the Goddess Bless You. Is a powerful standalone blessings that requires nothing more that focus love, and this intent. Verbal or nonverbal both work.  May God or the Gods Bless You, or even may the Ancestors Bless You, are very similar and equal energy if accepted by the giver, the Witch themselves believe. This needs no elaboration and allows a channel between the divine, spiritual force flow through the Witch and into her blessing object.

For today, the final purpose of the Witches Blessing, which will bring health, happiness, and clarity, is to be in gratitude. Witches give blessings because they are grateful to be able to do such a thing. To allow this wonderful and joyous energy of blessing through them and spring forward into the world through the gift of attention to another.  Truly this energy is boundless, and can be used over and over again, depending of the quality of the blessings, and how much energy is given.

This is one of the most underutilized energies that Witches have, and yet it is the best way, to push energy through themselves on a regular and frequent basis. Practice giving blessing to increase the flow of magickal energy through you.

Assignment: Give as many simple blessings as you can for the next week. May the Goddess Bless you as an example. Then record daily how you feel about them? Become aware of the people you bless, and see if their energy changes.
