I feel that a poetic heart further enriches the creative substrate of magick, bringing a deeper vital force in the transmuting of what is into what can be. This thought surfaced again in me today as I ruminated on how poetry allows one to look at things with fresh light, often indirectly and askance of a subject, to mine hidden crevices for potent treasures. Indeed, it can be said of art itself, but seems this week in particular it is the nature of a poem that is most demanding of my attention, causing a swirling gravity well of intuitive exploration and excitement.
