This is a picture I made while creating my novel Death On The Horizon Of Joy, a murder mystery set in ancient Egypt. This image was done as a character study, and shows HorNakht II MeriAmen, Count of KaKhem Nome, and Neb Teti, Chancellor of the Nome. The story is set in the Eighteenth Dynasty so while the Count retains great prestige and influence it is actually the Chancellor who administers the local goverment, answering to the Vizier and then Pharaoh.
